There are 19 Senators and 71 Representatives interred at Congressional Cemetery and monuments to honor 120 other members of congress who died in office. 150 of the sites are marked by these monuments which were designed by Benjamin Latrobe. The remaining sites are marked by private monuments.   read more

Built in 1903, the Chapel at Congressional Cemetery has been the site of numerous funerals, weddings, meetings and celebratory events. The last repair work done in the early 1980's replaced the interior which had suffered severe termite damage. The slate roof has now exceeded it's 100-year life expectancy. Serious leaks have already done damage to the interior. We need your help to raise the funds to make urgent repairs and prevent further damage. read more
