Adelaide Davis (1861-1940)
Adelaide Davis was born September 26, 1861, in Lynn, Massachusetts, died December 24, 1940 and was interred December 27 in a family plot purchased by James Boiseau.

Miss Davis was a recognized leader having contributed much to the progress of city schools during the long period of her service as principal and supervisory officer. As  superintendent, Miss Davis displayed professional ability and sound judgement. In the supervision and leadership of her teachers, her influence was felt in the effectiveness of classroom instruction in her schools. In the communities where she labored she won the esteem and confidence of school patrons. Miss Davis retired in 1929 after 46 years of service.
