Event Date & Time:
May 10 2014 - 3:00pm - 6:00pm

Join us for bocks and books at Congressional Cemetery on May 10th from 3 to 6 pm. Author Garrett Peck will be speaking about and selling his recently-published "Capital Beer" book, which tells the heady history of brewing in DC. Congressional Cemetery will also be premiering the new Brewers Tour, which will be available in both print and online versions after May 10th. Many of DC's first brewers are in fact buried at Congressional Cemetery, and visitors will also be able to take a self-guided tour of the brewers' graves, which will be marked by red Solo Cups. Tickets are $25 and include bocks (a German winter lager named after billy goats) from Capitol City Brewing, Port City Brewing, and Mad Fox Brewing. Hear comments from author Garrett Peck at 4 pm.
Capitol City Brewing Company: The Subjugator Dopplebock
Port City Brewing: COLOSSAL THREE
Mad Fox Brewing Company: Elixir Maibock

We will also be selling tickets at the door of the Chapel, inside the cemetery grounds.
Note: This is a rain or shine event, and no refunds will be issued. Rain location is still at Congressional Cemetery, in and around our historic chapel.
In order to partake in the featured libations, ticket holders must be over the age of 21. ID is required.
We advise taking public transportation to this event - bocks are strong beer! Congressional Cemetery is accessible by either the Potomac Avenue or Stadium Armory Metro stations, which are both on the blue and orange lines.
